چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Cancer is one of the most common diseases that has affected many people in the world. According to the latest statistics, ۱۹.۳ million new cases of cancer and ۱۰ million deaths due to cancer occurred in ۲۰۲۰. The present study was designed to report the incidence of cancers in ۲۰۲۰. Methods: The present study was a brief review study designed in ۲۰۲۱. The search was conducted in international and national databases, including Scientific Information Database (SID), PubMed, Scopus, and ISI (Web of Science). Articles that reported on cancer statistics around the world were reviewed. Summaries of articles published in congresses and conferences were excluded from the study. Initially, ۹ articles in English or Persian were finally evaluated. Results: A review of various studies showed that breast cancer in women had the highest incidence among all cancers. Lung cancer, which once topped the list, now ranks second. Breast cancer and lung cancer are the most common cancers with ۱۱.۷% and ۱۱.۴% of all cancers, respectively, and prostate, non-melanoma and colon cancers are next with ۷.۳%, ۶.۲% and ۶%, respectively. In ۲۰۲۰, a total of ۱۹,۲۹۲,۷۸۹ new cases of cancer occurred worldwide. Conclusion: The incidence of cancer is increasing worldwide. Breast cancer is currently the most common cancer in the world. Performing training programs for people at risk, as well as screening programs, especially for cancers that, like breast cancer, can improve cancer management and control.
