Investigating the social and economic effects of hosting the fourth week of the World Volleyball LeagueCase study: Ardabil province

Today, sports phenomena, apart from entertainment, have become a means of transforming the economy and society of countries. League competitions have been one of the most common sporting events in countries. . The aim of this study was to investigate the social and economic effects of hosting the fourth week of the World Volleyball League. Case study: Ardabil province. The research method was applied and analytical-descriptive. The statistical population of the study, all coaches of sports clubs in Ardabil city, based on the Department of Sports and Youth of Ardabil city, ۱۰۹۱, which according to the calculation of Cochran's formula, ۲۸۴ coaches were selected by random sampling method. Questionnaires of social and economic factors were sports. Findings showed that the average score of total social effects was ۳.۹۲ and social effects were ۳.۷۶. Measurement tools included .. Values of t-coefficient above ۱.۹۶ were obtained. Also, the analysis of the dimensions of social works showed that all components of vitality and spiritual development, collective participation, development of advertising and cultural development and tourism, have a score higher than the average. . Also, the dimensions of economic effects, which included financial development, investment and job creation, scored above average. . The results of Friedman test showed that in the ranking of social works, the highest rank was allocated to vitality and spiritual development and the lowest rank to advertising development, and in economic works, the highest rank was allocated to financial development and the lowest rank to investment. . According to the presented results, it can be concluded that hosting Ardabil province in the fourth round of the World Volleyball League has had economic and social effects and the government in order to benefit from these sporting events, social, cultural and economic arrangements to strengthen the infrastructure.
