چکیده مقاله:

Simply stated, energy hub is a unit which receives different energy carriers such as electricity, natural gas and heat in its input and after some energy converting or storing, delivers different energies required in its output such as electricity, heating and cooling. Considering unique features of energy hubs, these units are of a great concern in many European industrial countries recently in order to supply their energy loads economically and with a higher reliability. In this case, selecting and commitment of different possible units inside the hub structure and also quality of their operation and finally their effect on the reliability of load serving are of the most significant problems. In this paper, a comprehensive linearized method for simultaneous structural and operational optimization of energy hubs considering reliability constraints is proposed. In this method, both the adequacy and security constraints are checked for supplying the hub loads. Finally, the proposed method is used for structural and operational optimization of a hub in order to supply a long-term energy load with a high reliability. Obtained results confirm the ability of method in planning a reliable load supply, using energy hubs especially in presence of energy storage elements.
