خلاصه مقاله:
The textile industry plays a pa rt in the e conomy of several countries aroun d the world. Dyeing is a fundamental operation during textile fiber processing .Disposal of this color ed water into receiving water can b e toxic to aquatic life a nd it is toxic for human. Adsorptio n has been found to b e superior te chniques for waste water treatment . This study investigates the use of activated carbon pr epared from sounchus arvensis as a local lo w cost , hig h efficiency , ecofriendly adsorbent and available in IRAN for the re moval of direct red d ye from aqueous solutio n.A series o f experimen ts were conducted in a batch system to assess t he effect of the system variables , ie. temperature, initial dye concentration , ads orbent dosa ge and contact time, model Langm uir and Fre undlich isotherms , adsorption kin etic data an d thermod ynamic parameters were tested[۱-۳].
