چکیده مقاله:

Silver nano particles have attracted much attention because of distinctiv e properties with develo ping of numerous synthesis appr oaches [۱]. Nano titanium dioxide (NTO) par ticles have been widely investigate d due to their photo cat alytic activity and ability to absorb ultra-violet irradiation [۲]. The stability of nan o particles on polyeste r fabrics (P ET) is low d ue to the la ck of functio nal groups [۳]. Thus, it is necessar y to create some functional groups o n the polymer chains of PET. T he chemica l surface m odification, such as a lkali hydro lysis, increases PET functionality by introducing hydroxyl and carboxylic groups onto the fabric surface to impart new specifications to th e fabric, such as better binding to nano-TiO۲ par ticles [۴-۵]. In the present work, to achieve multifunctional PET fabric, in situ synthesis of silver nanoparticles alo ng with application of TiO۲ nanop aticles has been done in one step with alkali ne hydrolysis of polyester fabric. In addition, th e properties of the trea ted fabric su ch asantimicrobial activity, self cl eaning, wettability, ten sile strength and bending rigidity have been studied and reported.
