چکیده مقاله:

Wound healing is a complex process that often requires treatmen t with antib iotics. Prot ection from environmen tal factors can be accomplished by coveri ng the wou nd with w ound dressings. Silver sulfadiazine (AgSD) i s an effective and widely used an tibiotic for burn injurie s in human. Chitosan (CS) is a bio polymer that has been well known as being able to accelerate the healing of woun d in human [۱, ۲].In the present st udy we successfully p repared and analyzed chitosan/poly ethylene oxide(PEO) nanofiber containing silver sulfadi azine (AgSD ) via electro spinning. Mate rials and m ethods:CS/P EO solutions were prepa red by diss olving CS an d PEO in ۷۰% acetic ac id at ratios of CS to PE O of ۹۰/۱۰, ۸۰/۲۰ and ۷۰/۳۰. AgSD powder was also dissolved in ۷۰% acetic acid. Then the solution was m ixed with t he CS/PEO solutions at ratio of ۱:۲.The electrospinni ng processes were carried out using Electroris ( FNM Ltd., Iran, www.f nm.ir) as an electrospin ner. Then, the obtained mats were analyzed by SEM andand UV-vis spectrophotometer to study the nanofibers sizes and amount of Ag SD.
