چکیده مقاله:

Nickel is one of the most important met als applied by electro-deposition, because the nickel deposits possess a comprehe nsive variet y of properties [۱], suc h as high de gree of hardness and good ductility [۲]. The deposition characteristics are easily controlle d by varying the comp osition and the operatio nal paramet ers of the electrolytic b ath [۳]. Sulp hamate bat hs are normally recommended for p roducing nic kel deposit s [۱]. Nickel electro-dep osits from nickel sulpha mate electrolytes have technologi cal advantag es in yielding good p hysical properties such as low internal stress [ ۴] and cath ode current efficiency higher than ۹۸% [۵]. A s the platin g industries expand its volume of production, techniques w hich can speed up the process of ele ctro-deposition and impr ove the properties of deposits beco me increasingly vital [۶]…..Mate rials and m ethods:Nickel coatings were deposited from a sulphamate bath by direct current (DC) electroplating. All solutions were prepared w ith analytic al-grade chemicals and de-ionized w ater. Electrolysis was carried out i n a ۲۰۰ ml glass container fixed w ith a wooden cover containing holes to insert connecting rods to the electrodes. Rectan gular steel sheets wit h dimensio ns of ۳cm* ۲cm*۰.۱cm were used as cathode (substrate). A nickel s heet of ۹۹.۹۹% purity with dimensions of ۵c m*۲cm*۱cm was used as anode.
