چکیده مقاله:

The e poxidation of alkenes co nstitutes one of the mo st useful reactions in or ganic synthesis as the e poxide form ation is a crucial ste p in the ox yfunctionalization of many molecules. Epoxides are commercially i mportant int ermediates u sed in the synthesis of a wide vari ety of ¿ne chemicals. Reusable het erogeneous catalysts have attracted a great attention in organic laboratories and industries. Different approaches h ave been used for im mobiliza-ti on of molybdenum co plexes on various supports to obtain heterogeneous c atalysts. S everal practi cal advantages over their homogeneous cou nterparts. I n these sy stems, not only advantages of ho mogeneous catalysts s uch as high catalytic activity and selectivity are retain ed but als o some properties like easier w ork-up, recyclability and stability of heterogeneous sys tems will be obtained. Molybdenu m is an essential metal that is capa ble of formi ng complex es with many compoun ds of biological importa nce such as carbohydra - tes, amino acids, Àavins and porphyrins. Although, molybdenum is n ot only much less toxic than many other metals of industrial importa nce but it is also an essential constituent of certain enzym es that cat alyze reduc tion of molecular nitrogen and nitrate in plan ts and oxid ation (hydro xylation) of xanthine and other p urines and a ldehydes in animals. C arbon nano tubes (CNTs) have attracted much a ttention in the synthesi s, characterization, and other applic ations because of their unique structural mechanical thermal optical and elec-tronical properties since CNTs are insoluble in the most solvents these materials can be used catalysts support ۱-۴
