Structural and Magnetic Proper ties of MnFe۲O۴ na noparticles Substitu ted by Co۲+

The essential for mula for a spinel compo und MFe۲O ۴ can be written as (M۱-iFei)A[MiFe(۲-i)] BO۴, (M = Mn, Co, Zn, Mg, etc) where M۲+ is a divalent cation and the amounts in bra ckets represent the average occupancy of (A) tetrahedral sites and [B] octahedral sites and i is in the inversion parameter. So the sp ecial properties of ferrites are strongly related t o the distrib ution of cations betwee n octahedral and tetrahe dral sites in the spinel structure [۱].
