چکیده

Cu-dop ed ZnS is an active p hotocatalyst for hydrog en generation by wate r splitting under visible light irradiation [۱,۲]. R ecently, M ohamed have prepared thin films o f Cu-dopped ZnS by electron beam evaporation on glass substrates at ۱۰۰۰ ºC for ۲ h and investigated photocatalytic activity of the prepared nan oparticles [۳]. In addition, Pouretedal and et al. have prepare d nanoparticles of Zn S doped wi th mangan ese, nickel and cuppe r in presence of mercaptoethanol as capping age nt and investigated photocatalytic activities [۴]. As can be seen, the reported prepara tion metho ds mainly h ave high tem perature or long reaction time and most of them involved environment ally maligna nt chemicals and orga nic solvents, which are toxic and not easily degr aded in the environment. Therefore, searching new metho dology to prepare these nanomaterials is of great importance. In the prese nt paper, ultrasonic-assisted method was applied for preparation Cu-dope d ZnS in w ater as a gre en and template-free method.
