Oxali platin is one of the most successful a nticancer d rugs ever pr oduced .It is believed to work by bi nding to D NA leading to apoptosis. Since th e binding of Pt to D NA is kinetically controlled, a better understanding of th is process requires the use of q uantum chemical methods for probing transition states.
