چکیده مقاله:

Aseparation proc ess, or simply a separation, is any mass transfer process used to con vert a mixture of substances into t wo or more distinct pro duct mixtures, at least one of which is enriched in one or more of t he mixture's constituents. In some cases, a separation may fully divide the mixtur e into its pure constituents. Separations are carried out based on differences in chemical properties such a s size, shape, mass, or chemical affinity between the constit uents of a mixture, and are often classified according to the particular differences th ey use to achieve separation. In the case that no single difference can be used to accomplish a desired separation, multip le processe s will often be performed in combination to achieve the desired end.Barrin g a few exceptions, alm ost every element or c ompound is naturally found in an i mpure state. Often these impure raw materials must be separated into their pur ified compo nents before they can be put to productive use, making sepa ration proce sses essential for the modern industrial econom y. In som e cases these separations require total purification, as in the electr olysis refini ng of bauxite ore for alu minum metal, but a good example of an incom plete separation proces s is oil refining. Crude oil occurs naturally as a mixture of v arious hydrocarbons and impurities. The refining process sp lits this mixt ure into other, more valuable mixtures such as natural gas, gasoline and chemic al feedstocks, none of which are pure substances, but e ach of which must be s eparated fr om the raw crude. In both these ca ses a series of separations is necessary to obtai n the desired end produc ts. In the case of oil refining, crude is subjected to a long series of ind ividual distillation step s, each of which produ ces a differ ent product or intermediate thus the separation of CO۲/CH ۴/SO۲ gas m ixture is st ill the subject of intensiv e fundamental and industrial research.In this work the s eparation of Co۲ and SO ۲ from CH۴ was simulated by using AIN(alum inum Nitride Nanotube) and has be en investigat ed computationally.
