Adsor ption pro perties of ۲-hydroxy propyl methacryla te grafted onto poly ethylen eterephth alate fibers for removal of Cd (II) ions.

Different methods for removing of heavy metals from industrial wastewater were applie d such as, chemical p recipitation, ion exchange, revers e osmosis and ion adsorption cited. Adsorption method with respect to high efficiency and ease of use is one of th e most widely used methods introd uced.This research involv es the use of the same p olymer called poly (ethy lene terephthalate) (PE T) that is used as adso rbent. The p olyester polymers hav e high crystalline properties and low hydrophilic and can resist biodeg radation and high stability at acidic and basic pH conditions.
