Investigating the role of education in health centers and news media in promoting health literacy in the face of dust

Introduction: According to the World Health Organization, health literacy is a cognitive and social skill that determines the motivation and ability of individuals to achieve the correct understanding and use of information in a way that maintains and promotes the health of individuals and society.Materials: The present study is a case-control analytical epidemiological intervention study that examined the effect of training in health centers and also obtaining information through news media on improving the health of clients in the face of dust in two parts of Zahedan. The case and control groups were selected randomly and the information extracted from the questionnaires were analyzed by SPSS software and One-Sample t-test and Odds Ratio statistical method.Results: Findings show that most patients who have received the necessary training to maintain their health in the face of dust and through the health care providers or through the news media have fewer respiratory complications. Have shownDiscussion and conclusions: Health literacy and the production of educational content Health literacy have increased dramatically in recent years. Self-care trainings and recommendations of health centers to clients as well as trainings that reach the public through mass media and news have played a very useful role and most of the people who have been trained and acted on these recommendations. They have less respiratory problems in the face of dust.
