چکیده مقاله:

Earth is one of the oldest and most widespread construction materials. It is estimated that approximately ۳۰% of world population lives in earth buildings, and that about ۵۰% of developing countries population, including the majority of rural population and at least ۲۰% of urban and marginal urban population, lives in earth buildings. Low durability and compressive strength of adobe blocks leads to frequent maintenance problem associated with rural house wall construction. This forms the main reason of abandonment of vernacular mud housing building technology in rural areas today. Given the environmental destruction and global warming caused by the excessive use of industrial materials, a certain number of individuals and researchers have been re-considering the use of non-industrial materials. The notion of non-industrial materials in the building is linked to local materials and is becoming worthy of interest again due to the increasing demand for housing as populations increase, and to the need to reduce the energy consumption of the building industry
