چکیده
Different Salmonella serovars can infect poultry. Two relatively host specific non-motile Salmonella, S. Pullorum (SP) and S. Gallinarum (SG) can cause severe economicallysignificant diseases in poultry industry. Iran Veterinary Organization (IVO) have had a long term plan to eradicate the SP/SG contamination in commercial flocks. The prevalence of SP/SG infection have been significantly reduced in recent years but these infections are still occurring in backyard and indigenous poultry flocks. Nowadays motile Salmonella enterica serovars particularly S. Typhimurium (ST) and S. Enteritidis are more prevalent and economically important contamination in poultry industry. These bacteria can cause prominent mortality especially in young birds. During ۲۰۱۲-۲۰۱۳Salmonella was isolated from ۷.۶% of necropsy cases of commercial poultry in the Central Veterinary Laboratory. Investigating ۱۵۰ commercial chicken flock revealed ۳.۸% Salmonella infection in ۲۰۱۲ (Akbarian et al., ۲۰۱۲). Bokaei et al., ۲۰۱۶, Showed ۷.۹% infection in ۲۳ provinces of Iran.
