چکیده مقاله:

Nowadays, with the widespread use of the internet and the vital role of cyberspace in people’s daily life;we can clearly see that the number of “citizen journalists” is on the rise. It is a term for users, whichproduce content themselves, and even consume and publish it without any help; just with a simple devicelike their mobile phones. The optimistic point is that people can be active in different social media andcreate any contents that they need, without waiting for traditional press to tell them what they can readand what they can’t. But the most important concerning about this process is neglect of media literacy;because most of them are non-professional journalists who don’t know anything about media literacy andthis could make them to believe each news that publish in this space very faster than a real journalist whomight investigate about different aspects of events to make sure that is true or not. So in this paper weexplain about the concepts of media literacy and citizen journalism, then we will discuss that why peopleneed to expand their media literacy and what dangers threaten them in cyberspace. At the end, we try toprovide some solutions for it; concluding different opinions of experts.
