In order to reduce the deposition of wax in crude oil pipelines, several methods have been used, among which the use of chemical inhibitors has been evaluated as a suitable method. In this project, in order to optimize the injection of wax inhibitors in the pipelines of one of Iranian oil fields, a chemical method has been proposed. A combination of solvents was used to increase solubility and reduce viscosity. The most suitable compound was toluene, xylene, and cyclohexane. After selecting the appropriate solvent, the appropriate inhibitor was investigated. By adding some EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate) polymer to the system to reduce the wax appearance temperature and pour point of the wax, changes in viscosity were investigated, and the optimum chemical by considering the oil reservoir properties was proposed for this field. The results showed that the EVA inhibitor with the highest concentration of ۱۰۰۰ ppm has a decrease in the amount of viscosity and wax appearance temperature.
