Seawater (SW) Flooding is one of the common techniques for increasing petroleum reservoirs' pressure and production life. SW could have an incompatibility with formation water (FW) because of its high percentage of sulfate salts. The incompatibility of FW and SW causes some formation damages and scaling. Chemical or mechanical methods could be applied for preventing or removing inorganic scales. One of the new methods is using scale inhibitors (SIs)ل In this study, the effect of PBTC and HEDP SIs at ۱۰۰ and ۳۰۰ ppm concentration on scaling were investigated in two stages. In the first stage, mixing FW and SW was simulated by Phreequce software. In the second stage, the scale formation of the efficiency of two SIs were investigated in the static state. In static phase, ICP experiments were taken on solutionsف In the simulation study, a ۲۵۰۰ ppm CaSO۴ scale was determined. The results of the static phase showed that the efficiency of the ۱۰۰ ppm HEDP is higher than other SIs.
