چکیده

Coeliac disease (CD) is a chronic autoimmune disease that is characterized by malabsorption in sensitive individuals. CD is triggered by the ingestion of grains containing gluten. It is a multifactorial disease with a worldwide prevalence of ۱% that is induced by genetic and environmental factors. CD exhibits a wide spectrum of clinical representations that can involve almost any organ of the body. CD patients mainly suffer from intestinal abnormalities (Izadi et al. ۲۰۱۷, Lodhi MU et al. ۲۰۱۸, Pereyra L et al. ۲۰۱۳). Both innate and adaptive immune systems are involved in the pathogenesis of CD (Araya RE et al. ۲۰۱۶) Undesirable immunological reactions could cause inflammation and villous atrophy of the small intestine (Pereyra L et al. ۲۰۱۳). CD is concomitant with several other disorders, including dermatitis herpetiformis, selective IgA deficiency, thyroid disorders, diabetes mellitus, various connective tissue disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, and rheumatoid arthritis (Ch’ng CL et al. ۲۰۰۷, Bibbo S et al. ۲۰۱۷, Assa A etal. ۲۰۱۷, Zubarik R et al. ۲۰۱۵) The advent of high throughput technologies has provided a massive wealth of data which are processed in various omics scale fields. These approaches have revolutionized the medical research and monitoring of the biological systems. Investigations in the field of systems biology through bioinformatics tools have managed to integrate data from molecular, genomic, and biological connectivity studies. This data integration has unveiled new levels of complexity and details in biological processes. Deep comprehension of the molecular mechanisms of the disease is considered to be one of the essential component accurate and early diagnosis and effective treatment (Zachariou M et al. ۲۰۱۸)
