RISK MANAGEMENT OF NATURAL DISASTERS AND ECOLOGICAL CATASTROPHES - A TEXTBOOK FOR DISTANT EDUCATION

In the last two years a teaching book for the distant education has been created. The book consists of three parts - natural disasters, man-made ecological catastrophes and risk and economical assessment. The construction of the book satisfies the distant educational requirements. There are several sections for different topics - physical explanation of the negative natural or manmade dangerous events and descriptions of the negative consequences - tasks for the examination of the knowledge - descriptions of the prevention and protection measures - examples and exercises - common discussion - key words with explanations and English translation. The book is supplied with many illustrations, tables, instructions for self-eduration, etc.
