THE RUPTURE-FORMATION PROCESS IN THE SPITAK EARTHQUAKE FOCUS

The process in the Spitak earthquake focus has been analysed on the basis of P-wave records and their interpretation by means of the new approach, applying azimuth hodographs. Obtained results indicate the complicated process of rupture-formation in the Spitak earthquake focustshifts took place not only in the north-west-South-east direction, which was marked by outcrop of rupture disturbances, but in the north-east--south-west direction as well
