چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : Wound infection is one of the health problems that are caused and aggravated by the invasion of pathogenic organisms. Wound Infections are continuous to be a major complication with significant increase in costs, morbidity and potential mortality. The aim of study was introduced the main bacteria exist in wound. Methods : To investigate the main bacteria in wound we used Embase, PubMed/Medline, Scopus, Google Scholar and Web of Sciences data base with keywords such as prevalence, bacterial isolates, wound infection and antibiotic resistanceResults : A total of ۲۸ studies on more than ۵۰۰۰ patients (female and male) with the age of ۱۰ days - ۱۰۰ years and various form of the wounds like: acute traumatic injury, wound infection, surgical wound, post operation wound, burns and abscess were included in our review. A total of about ۴,۳۰۰ bacteria were isolated from different patients, of which about ۱,۹۰۰ were gram-positive and ۲,۴۰۰ were gram-negative. The gram positive ones are including: Staphylococcus spp, Coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS), Streptococcus spp, Also E.coli as the commonest gram negative bacteria, Klebsiella spp, Pseudomonas .aeruginosa, and Proteus were determined as the main gram negative isolated bacteria.Conclusion : In order to reduce wound infections and the time of hospitalization of patients, it is better to determine the type of bacteria in the wound so that the use of antibiotics appropriate to the type of bacteria
