A number of different processing techniques have been developed to design three-dimensional (۳D) scaffolds for tissue-engineering applications. These architectures can be obtained by means of refined methods and have to be assessed in terms of geometrical and mechanical properties. Specifically, the triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) is exploited to design a multi-scale porous structure, which can achieve high mechanical behaviors with lightweight. It was found that the TPMS method is an effective way to achieve gradients in multiple patterns which are comparable to natural tissue with respect to both continuous topology and interconnectivity. Finite element analysis (FEA) is a mighty tool to recognize insertion process mechanics. The purpose of this study was to improve mechanical strength of TPMS scaffolds, the Schwarz’s Primitive surface(P-surface), FEA results were evaluated against stress distribution at the TPMS interface were compared between different porosities. FEA predicted higher stress values than those measured by more porosity.
