چکیده مقاله:
Background Numerous studies have proposed reality therapy as one of the successful approaches in addressing self-efficacy, and types of identity. So, This study try to assess effectiveness of Reality therapy on Self-efficacy and Identity Styles of Female Students Methods: The present study was a quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest design and a control group. The study population included all of the second year high school female students (۴۵۸) in the second district of Tehran during the academic year ۲۰۱۸-۱۹, out of which ۳۰ individuals were selected by the use of purposeful sampling method. To collect data, Self-efficacy scale and Identity styles questionnaire were used, and then the participants were randomly assigned to the two control (n=۱۵) and experimental (n=۱۵) groups. The experimental group received reality therapy training for ten treatment sessions (۹۰ minutes for each session). The data were analyzed using Multivariate covariance in SPSS-۲۳. Results: The Mean ± SD of the groups were as follows: reciprocal behavior, ۱۶.۹۳ ± ۰.۸۸۴; reality therapy, ۱۶.۸۷ ± ۰.۸۳۴ and the control group, ۱۷±۰.۹۲۶. The findings showed that training in reality therapy was successful on self-efficacy (P < ۰.۰۵; ۰.۲۷; ۲ =۰.۷۲) and sample group identity (P < ۰.۰۵; ۲ = ۰.۰۵۹). Conclusion Psychological groups in reality therapy can be applied as an effective approach to increase self-efficacy and improve identity style and thus reduce behavioral and social damage.
