چکیده

Addiction, especially morphine dependence, is one of the most common and incurable diseases. Since Peganum Harmala has analgesic effects, the aim of this study was to investigate the acute effect of hydroalcoholic extract of Pecan on morphine withdrawal symptoms in adult male mice. In this study, ۴۲ adult NMRI mice weighing ۳۰ ±۲ gr were divided into two main groups: control (saline) and morphine. Chronic dependence was performed for ۳ days and ۳ times a day with ۶ hour intervals. On the first to third day, doses of ۵۰, ۵۰ and ۷۵ and on the fourth day, ۷۵ mg / kg of morphine were received subcutaneously. The control group received only saline with the same volume during this period. In all groups, naloxone ۵ mg / kg was injected intraperitoneally to induce withdrawal syndrome. To two morphine subgroups ۳۰ minutes before naloxone injection, ۵ and ۱۵ mg / kg Pecan hydroalcoholic extract were injected intraperitoneally. The control group received solvent extract (saline). In all groups, after naloxone injection, the symptoms of morphine discontinuation, including jumping and standing on two legs for half an hour were evaluated.Data were analyzed by one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey test. The significance level was considered P < ۰.۰۰۵. The results showed that morphine withdrawal symptoms were more evident in morphine-dependent mice than in the control group. Pecan hydroalcoholic extract at a dose of ۱۵ mg / kg significantly reduced morphine withdrawal symptoms such as jumping and standing on two legs compared to the control group. Conclusion that Pecan has an effect on the mechanisms involved in physical dependence on morphine
