The Prevalence of Pediculosis in Behbahan County From ۲۰۱۷ to ۲۰۱۸

چکیده
Background: The present project presented the prevalence of pediculosis in Behbahan County, Iran, to plan effective control programs in this area. Materials & Methods: The data of head lice were collected from the Behbahan Public Healthcare centers. Accordingly, the relevant prevalence rate was estimated according to the age, gender, residential place, and season of the year. Results: There were ۸۰۰۲ pediculosis cases reported in Behbahan County from January ۲۰۱۷ to December ۲۰۱۸. The prevalence of pediculosis was reported as ۲.۳۱% and ۱.۹۹% in ۲۰۱۷ and ۲۰۱۸, respectively. The prevalence among females (۳۷۵۰ per ۱۰۰۰۰۰ population) was significantly higher than that in males (۹۲۹ per ۱۰۰۰۰۰ population) (P< ۰.۰۰۱). Respecting age, the highest prevalence was among the ۶-۱۲ years age group with a prevalence of ۸۰۶۷ and ۷۲۸۵ subjects per ۱۰۰۰۰۰ population in ۲۰۱۷ and ۲۰۱۸, respectively. The highest number of cases were found in October. Conclusion: According to our collected results, the illness requires a higher degree of concentration management to adequately manage.کلیدواژه ها
