چکیده مقاله:
Aerodynamic noise, generated in a turbulent channel flow is calculated using the direct numerical beamforming method. To get the source distribution map in the target area, acoustic pressure is computed on a particular array of virtual microphones and then beamformed back to the assumed source points in the flow. These synthetic microphones are placed directly into the sound computation region and necessary flow data in their positions are directly extracted from computational fluid dynamic (CFD) simulations, avoiding acoustic analogies and prevent introducing unnecessary bias errors in the process. The strength of sources and acoustic maps of the turbulent channel flow are obtained from direct numerical simulation (DNS) data. Acoustic maps for several frequencies are derived, and one of them is given at ۳ Hz
