چکیده مقاله:

This paper presents the numerical research program on encased composite column subjected to eccentric loading. The columns were pinned at top and fixed at bottom and subjected to eccentric load acting on major axis. The model accounted for the inelastic behavior of steel, concrete, longitudinal and transverse bars. The finite element model has been validated against existing test results. The variable parameters in this study are concrete strength (۲۰-۳۰Mpa), steel strength (۲۴۰-۳۷۰), slenderness (۲۶.۶۵-۷۹.۹۴) and load eccentricity from ۰.۱ to ۰.۵ of the overall depth of the column sections. Investigations showed that increase strength of concrete cause increase composite column strength for all eccentricities but increase strength of steel profile cause increase composite column strength for low eccentricities..
