Nowadays, spirituality is one of the most important topics that has become a subject of interest to create a connection between the traditional world and the modern world values in various areas. Organizations, as the dominant aspect of today’s societies, are one of the most extensive areas that we have recently noticed the formation and development of spiritual approaches in them. In this study, we have investigated the impact of spirituality on the organizational citizenship behavior in Rejal Petrochemical Company, the country’s first privately owned petrochemical plant. To this end, we have defined workplace spirituality on the basis of Milliman et al. theory in three dimensions of meaningful work at personal level, feeling of solidarity at team level, and alignment with organizational values at organizational level; and also organizational citizenship behavior on the basis of Organ & Batman theory in five dimensions of altruism, conscience, generosity, courtesy, and civic virtue. In this regard, we set up three main hypotheses and fifteen secondary hypotheses. To test these hypotheses, we used two questionnaires including standard workplace spirituality questionnaire with ۲۱ questions and standard organizational citizenship behavior questionnaire with ۳۰ questions. After the measurement of validity and reliability, we submitted the questionnaires to ۱۸۲ statistical samples that included the employees in Rejal Petrochemical Co. We collected the questionnaires, summarized and classified the data, and we applied the descriptive and inferential statistical methods (two-variable linear regression test) to analyze the collected data. The results of hypotheses testing confirmed the three main hypotheses and seven secondary hypotheses and rejected eight secondary hypotheses. This means workplace spirituality has an impact in all three personal, team and organizational levels on the organizational citizenship behavior of the aforementioned company.
