SEECM: Super Energy Efficient Compression Method for Wireless Body Area Networks

Due to the increasing aging of the population and the increasing number of patients and the lack of hospital resources and the staggering costs of caring for the elderly and patients in hospitals, there is a need for intelligent alternative methods that can remotely control patients and avoid unnecessary hospitalizations. One of these methods is the use of Wireless Body Area Networks. The main challenge of these networks is the energy challenge. In this paper, Super Energy Efficient Compression Method for Wireless Body Area Networks (SEECM) compression method is presented, which in addition to data compression, also uses data sampling to save more data energy consumption compared to pure compression methods. Finally, by comparing the SEECM method with the previously presented methods NIS and UEELC, it is concluded that the SEECM method saves as much energy as ۹۲.۷ %.
