چکیده مقاله:

Polymeric membrane as a heart of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell is very important in efficiency of a fuel cell. Today, various families of aromatic polymers are under investigation for substitution of Nafion which is commercial choice for proton exchange membrane fuel cell. The candidate sulfonated aromatic polymer should be mechanically and thermally stable, with high proton conductivity, and it also should be cheap. despite continuing efforts to find a new sulfonated aromatic polymer with all of the desired properties, there are many research activities in which scientists are trying to find a way to overcome the problems of existing sulfonated aromatic polymers. Designing the microstructure of aromatic polymers with the aim of accumulating sulfonic acid groups in specific places along the chain is one of the best ways to do this. this study explains popular techniques to achieve this goal.
