In this work the Preliminary design of an IFR Turbine belonging to a ۳۰ kw microturbine has been done through experimental relation and turbomachinary science by the use of commercial code CFTurbo. Primary design point datas are derived from AMTS proposal cycle for a ۳۰ kw microturbine. In order to validate the flow field through the entire stage a CFD simulation has been done through Ansys CFX. The two equation Turbulence Model k−ε is used to reduce the computational cost while keeping the solution accuracy in an acceptable range. The achieved total to total efficiency is nearly ۴% higher than specified ηtt but in terms of power produced an optimum point must be found between power an efficiency to meet the the shaft power required.
