چکیده مقاله:

Objectives: The present study was undertaken to compare the effects of inorganic sources of zinc and selenium with newly developed nano-bio zinc and selenium in broiler chickens. Materials & Methods: Experiment was performed as a completely randomized design in a ۲ × ۲ factorial arrangement with ۴ replicates of ۱۵ chicks in each pen. Factors included were ۲ sources of zinc (ZnSO۴ or Zn nano-bio) and ۲ sources of selenium (sodium selenite or nano-bio selenium). Performance criteria, blood biochemical characteristics and intestinal health were evaluated during the trail. Results & Conclusion: inclusion of nano-bio Zn increased body weight (BW) of birds especially during the late stage of rearing period (P≤۰.۰۰۱). Feed intake was increased and feed conversion ratio (FCR) was reduced by inclusion of nano-bio Zn in comparison with the ZnSO۴ (P≤۰.۰۵). No significant difference was observed in body weight of birds fed sodium selenite or nano-bio selenium, nonetheless inclusion of nano-bio selenium improved (P≤۰.۰۰۲). Feed intake of birds especially during the last week of experiment. An interaction of Zn source and selenium source were observed for BW, Feed intake and FCR, wherein nano-bio Zn with sodium selenite results the highest weight however feed intake was highest when nano-bio Zn fed nano-bio selenium(P≤۰.۰۰۲). The relative length of ileum, duodenum and jejunum were increased by inclusion of nano-bio Zn and nano-bio selenium. No difference was observed in ileum pH with regards to the Zn or selenium sources.
