چکیده مقاله:

The research paper is the study about the degree of the correlation coefficient between the Iranian language learners reading comprehension success in English and the related reading comprehension anxiety in test-taking process in reading tests. To this end, ۱۰۰ BA students, who had taken general English course, participated in this study. They answered an English reading comprehension test as well as a reading comprehension test anxiety scale successively in one session. The findings demonstrated a negative correlation coefficient between the degree of the participants’ anxiety in test-taking situation and their reading comprehension success in answering the reading comprehension test. The findings imply the significance of focusing on psychological affective factors in language- learning process and the importance of administrating relevant teacher-training workshops to reinforce language –learning process in language learners. In other words, a language teacher should not only act as a teacher, but also as a counselor and psychiatrist for language learning to improve the complex process of language learning in the language learners
