Background and Objectives: Assessing the performance of human resources is measuring the performance and ability of individuals against predetermined standards and leads to identifying strengths and weaknesses and improving the performance of employees and the organization. The aim of this study was to Assessment of human human resources of public, private and social security hospitals in Mazandaran province.Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in selected public, private, and social security hospitals in Mazandaran province in ۲۰۱۸. Data were collected through a researcher-made questionnaire designed based on Iranian national accreditation standards. The content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed using experts’ views, and its reliability was confirmed by Cronbach’s alpha coefficient higher than ۰.۷۸. Data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and Tukey’s post hoc tests using SPSS ۲۱ software.Results: There was a significant difference between public, private and social security hospitals in human resource evaluation(p < ۰.۰۵), which was higher in social security hospitals (۳.۸۰ ± ۰.۰۰) compared to public hospitals (۳.۳۰ ± ۰.۰۰) and private hospitals (۲.۴۹ ± ۰.۰۰). The highest and the lowest mean of human resources in selected hospitals were reported for the areas of employee empowerment and employee evaluation, respectively.
