چکیده

Background and Aim: Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and has a significant mortality rate. Diagnosis of prostate cancer is more based on aggressive methods such as biopsy. Finding new biomarkers that can lead to non-invasive and early diagnosis of prostate cancer is of interest. In this study indicate that selected miRNA (mir-۲۵) may Promising in human cancer early diagnosis.Methods: ۴۰ patients enrolled in this study. The case group consists of ۳۰ patients (۱۲ metastatic and ۱۸ non-metastatic) and control group consists of ۱۰ healthy controls. Urine and blood samples were obtained. Serum PSA evaluated and after extraction of total RNA and then cDNA synthesis, expression of mir-۲۵evaluated in urine specimens.Results: The results revealed that in cancer patient group, miR-۲۵ showed a significant reduction in expression in comparison with healthy controls (P=۰.۰۰۱). By using ROC Curve analysis, specificity, sensitivity were obtained for miR-۲۵, ۸۳% and ۶۱/۸۶%.Conclusion: In general, it can be concluded miR-۲۵ have a significant change in expression in patients with prostate cancer compared to healthy controls.A combination panel of miR-۲۵ and other Specific miRNAs can be used as a non-invasive method for detecting prostate cancer.
