Neutralization of the borrowed vocabularies from French to Persian based on Optimality Theory

In this paper, researchers have probed into the vocabulary and the way of pronouncing different words in the systems of the both language. Doing so, we understood that some words have been borrowed from French to Persian which were of a crucial importance and were studied to discover the structures and processes of changing the pronunciation of the words taken from the source language in the target one. To fulfill this, Optimality Theory was chosen to figure out the underlying processes of such changes. As we continued we came to realization that borrowed words must be neutralized to be accepted in the target language. The present study could add to the linguistic scope and knowledge of scholars, acquainting the researchers more with phonological processes of French loanwords in Persian and their adaptation to the universalities of this realm.
