چکیده مقاله:

In the past two decades, the world has faced Coronaviruses outbreaks; including SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV. Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (SARS-CoV) in 2002 and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) in 2012 were identified [1]. Currently, the global outbreak of novel coronavirus 2019 that is named Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), is a new virus from the beta-Coronavirus lineage [2]. Coronaviruses contain 16 non-structural (nsp1-16) and four structural proteins, including spike (S), membrane (M), nucleocapsid (N), and envelope (E) proteins [3]. The spike protein is an essential determinant of host specificity, which can be cleavage by host proteases into S1 and S2 subunits [4]. The Receptor-Binding Domain (RBD) of the S1 subunit, can particularly binding to the human ACE2 [5]. Dueto the importance of spike protein and RBD, this article will represent beneficial data to improve the understanding of the structure and function of coronaviruses.
