چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: The outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic over the past year has led to the closure of educational centers worldwide and the possibility of face-to-face and academic education of students. Since the field of nursing and paramedical sciences requires detailed and face-to-face training that is not possible during this period, this study was conducted to investigate the problems and challenges of virtual education and strategies to improve education quality. Methods: The study is qualitative research using the content analysis method. The research population is nursing and midwifery students of Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences and Kermanshah Azad University Medical Sciences Branch. The data analysis process was performed using the approach proposed by Greenham and Lundman for qualitative content analysis and in such a way that after conducting semi-structured interviews with students, first, the text of the interviews is typed word for word and then to achieve a complete understanding of the text Interviews, two or three times each interview read. In the next step, semantic units were extracted from the interviews' text, and then semantic units were named, and codes were formed and then based on continuous comparison of codes, subclasses, and classes. To fully cover the information and ensure the accuracy of the interview findings, this interview was conducted with 22 medical students in different fields and semesters. After reaching the saturation limit in data uniformity, the interview was terminated, and the research entered the next stage. Results: In this study, 22 interviews were taken from students, of which 12 were female students, and 10 were male students. During the interviews, the primary purpose was to find the problems of e-learning and provide solutions for them. The next steps, the level of student satisfaction, quality of educational content, software disorders, Internet access, and the level of two-way interaction between students and professors, were examined. The results showed that students were relatively satisfied with virtual education but had suggestions for improving this education. Conclusion: Virtual education in solving problems and creating creativity in the virtual presentation of content and evaluation and mutual participation of students and professors will have a very positive effect on the process of student education at the time of Covid 19.
