Application of artificial intelligence in nursing processes

Today, the use of new technologies and reducing medical care costs optimizes hospital resources, and increases care quality. One of the new technologies used in the field of health is artificial intelligence. This study aimed to investigate the application of artificial intelligence in the field of nursing. Methods: This article was conducted in 1399 with the method of review and advanced scientific research. Advanced search invalid databases such as PubMed Scopus, Google Scholar, Science Direct, and Springer have been used. Offtopic studies were excluded from achieving the desired goals. Results: After completing the search and removing duplicate articles by screening based on the objective axis, titles and abstracts of 98 articles were reviewed, and finally, 11 articles were studied. Nursing care studies in the field of electronic health records (1 study), data collection and analysis and evaluation of health care (3 studies), health care costs (1 study), clinical and periodic evaluation (2 studies), use of intelligent technology and Smart hospital (3 studies) was performed. Artificial intelligence provides innovations for nursing care performance, reducing diagnostic error, increasing the speed of emergency response in emergencies, improving the quality of care and patient psychological support, and remote care for patients, especially the elderly using intelligent technology. Conclusion: The use of artificial intelligence according to the mentioned components is one of the crucial achievements of technology that can affect organizational performance in the field of health directly, optimize business processes in health care and improve patient safety. Few studies have been conducted on cost-effectiveness and economic issues. It is recommended that health policymakers provide the necessary infrastructure to use this technology for a better therapeutic and economical approach.
