Investigating Factors Affecting Users' Satisfaction with Indoor Environment Quality in Academic Libraries (case study Urmia University)

Designing healthy, safe and comfortable environments for building users is one of the issues in sustainable architecture that can pave the way for improved human quality of life, energy efficiency and environmental protection. On the other hand, improving the quality of academic spaces can play an essential role in the sustainable development of communities. This study attempts to identify the factors affecting user satisfaction by analyzing statistical data.188 paper based survey was distributed to the respondents in the central library of the University of Urmia and then data analyzed by the SPSS software. Based on the results of this study, temperature, indoor air quality, amount of natural and artificial light, and user table area are the most critical factors affecting user satisfaction.
