The second group is water disposal wellsthat are used for disposal of waste waters that have environmentalhazards. finally, water injection wells may be used for waterflooding of the reservoir to displace the oil and enhancing the oilrecovery. One of the key factors in the success of water injectionwells that should be monitored and repaired- if required, is theinjectivity of wells. Water that is injected into porous formations forwaterflood or disposal purposes can be sourced from a number oflocations. The source of the water, its temperature and pressure pathduring production and injection operations, compatibility issuesbetween blended waters, and possible seasonal variations in thewater quality are all issues which may affect the overall quality ofthe injected water from a damage/impaired injectivity perspective.
