microstrip low pass filter with wide stopband using T-shaped resonators

In this letter, a microstrip low pass filter with wide stopband using T-shaped resonators is designed. The proposed low pass filter using ADS software is simulated. The filter consists of 5 pairs of symmetrical T-shaped resonators. The 3-dB cutoff frequency is 1.7 GHz, applicable for L-band spectrum. The transition-band is sharp (21 dB/GHz).The stopband bandwidth with 21dB suppression level is extended from 1.97 GHz To 30 GHz (8 unwanted harmonics are rejected). The physicals size of the designed LPF is 815.1 mm2.
