Effect of IAA hormone with certain concentration on chemical compounds of Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium Essential oil

Arial parts of Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium treated under field condition were sprayed with IAAphytohormone separately in certain time in a weak. Then we collected the treated plant after a rest period and dried it inthe dark and in the process of air. Afterwards, we weighted the dried plant and took its essential oil separately byClevenger apparatus. The essential oil from aerial parts of Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium growing in Iran wasobtained by hydro-distillation and analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The Essential oilof C. cinerariifolium treated was contained several different compounds among which β-pinene (19.519%), Farneseneepoxide (10.584%), β- Cubebene (8.926 %), Bornyl acetate (4.534%) and Caryophyllene (3.011%) were the majorones.Phytohormones are a group of chemically diverse molecules that control virtually all aspects of plantsdevelopment. In this project the effect of phytohormone IAA (Indole- 3- Acetic Acid) with certain concentrations onessential Oil of Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium arial parts were evaluated.The results of this project were showed that different effects of phytohormones on the plant oil. Theyincreased or decreased some of the effects on some of the components, as well as the elimination of a number ofcompounds and the production of new compounds.
