چکیده مقاله:

The environmental concerns about fossil fuels and their constraints, combined with energy security concerns, have spurred great interest in generating electrical energy from renewable sources. Wind energy is among the most abundant and potentially readily available. It is one of the most important contributors to modern electric grids as a clean and environmentally friendly energy resource. The unique characteristics of the wind energy systems, including intermittent, turbine technology, and protection issues, bring new challenges for successful and economic integration to the grids. This section addresses the impacts of wind energy integration on grids that must consider in order maintaining the stability and quality of the energy supplied to customers. In general, the wind power plants built far away from the traditional load centers that create stress on transmission infrastructure and made the power access point to the grid weaker. In order to ensure uninterrupted and secure power supply to the customers, the communication and security aspects are very crucial for the smart grids. The information o n the wind farms located far away from the load centers should be transmitted to the control center through internet protocol for monitoring and excellent scheduling in real-time.
