Scientific Investigation of the Role of Information Technology Management System in Textile Design and Production

Textile industry has reached a significant advance with the technological developments. In recent years, there has been a significant growth in integration of scientific and creative ideas. In the present era, the traditional arts and handicrafts have been replaced by the new technologies that seek to create modern designs in textile production. This mechanism requires a strong management system. So, the present research has investigated this issue by a descriptive-analytical approach and applied method. After proposing the idea of an IT management system for textile designing and solving the current problems, the issue of textile design and production and the practical principles of an IT management system have been analyzed in details. In the following, first a method is proposed for textile design information seeking. Second, several designing information processing methods are introduced; and third, design information management is studied in a database. Finally, the use of the mentioned system in textile industry is discussed as an example.
