There have been many endemic raptors lives in Iran ecosystems and many of these birds are subject to attack by human predators. Bullet hunting is one of the major causes of damage to wild birds for taxidermy and financial gain. Following referral of a young stepped eagle imaging results confirmed transverse fracture of femur. So, preparationand general anesthesia performed by 0.3 mg/kg diazepam, 20 mg/kg ketamine intramuscular and isoflurane mask maintenance by 2 MAC and 2 L/min oxygenation. Femur bone approached by routine method and retrograde intramedullary pinning performed by 3 and 3.5 Steinmann pin insertion. Muscles, subcutaneous and skin sutured by 3-0absorbable vicryl and nylon 3-0 sutures, respectively. Ehmer sling by bandage and cage rest administrated for three weeks. Doxycycline 50mg/kg PO q12hour q 7 days. One of the most complications in face to wild birds is anorexia, therefor force feeding, movement restriction and necessary vitamins and minerals are the common important jobs after orthopedic surgeries.
