چکیده

Energy management is one of the most important topics in today's energy networks. Power system whose aim is to supply consumers is no an exception. A numerous researches has been conducted on energy management of electrical grids up to now. This paper has focused on recent researches about smart grid energy management. Given the fact that the smart grid is often composed of several microgrids, microgrid energy management has been also an important and significant topic in recent years. In this article, in addition to a general review of microgrid energy management in recent researches, the optimization methods used in energy management are also reviewed and the most used methods are introduced. Moreover, microgrid energy management is examined from different points of view including renewable sources, linear and nonlinear programming as well as dynamic programming, metaheuristic methods, stochastic methods, artificial intelligence, and multi-agent systems. The review conducted in this paper provides a good overview of energy management concepts and the latest methods used in this area, which can be very useful in understanding the operation of future networks and pave the way of energy conservation
