The effects of date of planting on cucumber yield and quality was studied to choose the best suitable sowing time. A campletely randomized block design with replication was used for 3 years (1993-1995) at torogh agricultural research station. Sowing time was consisted of 7 treatments, starting from 3 April and progressively 15 days apart. Agrotechemical and quality characters were recorded dusing the growing season. After statistical analysis 4 treatments had significant differences with chek at 1% and 5% level. The best sowing time with repects to yield and good qualititeswas was from 3 April until 4 june (15 Farvardin- 15 Khordad). Dates after 4 june resulted seuerly decreesing in yield (5th- 6th- 7th) treatments.
